Learn to Play is a program designed for young skaters ages 4 to 9 years old that have never played organized hockey. These skaters must have some experience skating, including being able to stay on their feet. This is not a learn to skate program although basic skills will be used. This program is an in-house, fun introduction to the game of hockey with an emphasis on skills: stops & starts, edgework, and puck handling. Players will develop skating and puck control skills of the individual player, learn basic shooting and passing skills, and learn basic game play. Depending on timing and availability, include local half ice scrimmaging with neighboring programs.
Learn to Play Hockey is twice per week.
The Winter session begins on Saturday, January 4th and runs until Sunday, March 30th.
Cost: $360 per session (after the first week the cost will be prorated)
Equipment is provided except Skates, Stick & a Helmet.
Each Player must register first with USA Hockey and then return to this Registration Session to signup for the 2023-2024 Season.
